CEFAS

NMC personnel have had a long association with CEFAS (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science)  who have their main offices in Weymouth.

Richard Prickett was involved with a long running Dover sole (Solea solea) project in the early 2000's and Mike Webb worked closely with its scientists when collecting live specimens for the sea life centres and other institutes.

More recently CEFAS scientists have been assisting DSCL in monitoring cultured sea weed growth in Portland Port and investigating the best disinfectant procedures for lumpfish eggs.
